Jamin Stortz is a writer based in New Haven, Connecticut. He is a graduate of the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers and was a graduate fellow at the Yale University Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library.

He has worked and lived in over 50 countries. A veteran, he served 8 years in the US Coast Guard on 11 overseas deployments. He later worked with the US State Department on issues of international security and cooperation.
